INSPIRED BY KINGS WOOD AGAIN
INSPIRED BY KINGS WOOD AGAIN
I was looking through some photographs that I took in Kings Wood
last autumn and came across a picture of some oak leaves that were turning to their
autumn colours. Inspired I produced this
painting. Looking at my work now I feel that had I produced it on some fine gossamer
fabric it could have been hung and move with the breeze mimicking the leaves that
inspired me. Saturday, 16 February 2013
RECENT WORK
I have been busying myself producing an abstract inspired by
the things that archaeologists dig up as seen on the telly. Things that have be
distressed by the soil and time.
I have also found time to produce a sketch of oak leaves in Kingswood.

KINGSWOOD, BAWTRY
Another attempt using a sponge, pen and torn paper. Actually this is my
third attempt, the second was bad.
Looking at it now I think it may need a bit more work yet.
(Not the best photographs, taken in low, bright winter’s sun, bleaching the colours and causing shadows. Hayho that's life.)
